The Jays infielder, who is back on the field despite a knee injury, paid homage to his longtime teammate Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

Toronto Blue Jays star Bo Bichette donned an incredible shirt before Game 2 of the World Series on Sunday night, a game in which the Jays lost 5-1 at Rogers Centre.

As noted by Ben Verlander of FOX Sports, Bichette had a shirt featuring a toddler version of Vladimir Guerrero Jr. raising a helmet to the sky. It's an homage to the famous photo of a young Guerrero on the field in Montreal with his father during his days with the Expos.

The only difference between Bichette's shirt and the actual photo is that Guerrero is holding up a Blue Jays helmet in Bichette's version, not an Expos helmet.

The game itself

As for the game itself, the Jays were dominated by Dodgers' right-hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who threw a complete game, giving up just one run on four hits. He walked none and struck out eight.

Yamamoto retired the last 20 batters he faced, becoming only the fourth pitcher to ever do that in a postseason game.

On the other side: Kevin Gausman was excellent for the Blue Jays, but he cracked in the top of the seventh inning, allowing two runs in the frame, giving him three runs allowed for the night. He struck out six. The Dodgers added two runs after he left the game.

As for Bichette

One day after returning to the lineup for the first time since Sept. 6, Bichette did not start at second base, but he did pinch-hit, going 0-for-2. One of the best pure hitters in baseball, he hit .311 this campaign with 18 homers and 94 RBIs, but a left knee sprain kept him out for more than a month of action.

He'll be a free agent at season's end and is reportedly in the mix for a $200 million contract.

What's next

The two teams will travel to Los Angeles on Sunday and resume the series on Monday night at Dodger Stadium. First pitch is set for 8:00 pm. ET as Max Scherzer (TOR) pitches against Tyler Glasnow (LAD). Scherzer has made one appearance in these playoffs, winning Game 4 of the American League Championship Series.

Glasnow has 18 strikeouts and a 0.68 ERA.
