About the 2026 season

This next campaign has a chance to be a very special one for the Jays, who are coming off another American League pennant in 2025. Toronto won the American League East, then captured the AL pennant before losing to the Los Angeles Dodgers in seven games in the World Series.

Coincidentally, the Blue Jays beat the Seattle Mariners in the American League Championship Series. The Mariners also entered the league in 1977 and will be celebrating their 50th season in the new league year.

The Jays have spent nearly $350 million guaranteed dollars this offseason on Dylan Cease, Tyler Rogers, Kazuma Okamoto and Cody Ponce in an effort to make sure they win the title for the first time since 1993. They also reportedly offered $350 million to free agent outfielder Kyle Tucker.
