The 32-year-old left fielder has batted .268 while recording a .717 OPS and knocking in 60 RBI since being traded to the Atlanta Braves from the Houston Astros in November.

The Atlanta Braves shook up their infield following a disappointing 2025 season that saw them miss the postseason for the first time since 2017 while ranking fourth in the NL East and finishing 76-86 overall.

The trade appears to have paid off for the Braves as Dubón is hitting .268 while recording a .717 OPS and knocking in 60 RBI. Additionally, he has also logged a .315 on-base percentage and launched 10 home runs.

Meanwhile, Allen has been hitting .257 while tallying just 11 RBI and one home run despite recording a .628 OPS and .304 on-base percentage. Moreover, Allen's bat has cooled off in August with him going 1-for-7 at the plate in the three games he's batted in.

Although the Braves fell short 8-5 in their Monday opener against the rival New York Mets, Dubón spoiled the shutout in the first inning, driving in Drake Baldwin and Matt Olson with an RBI single and trimming the Mets' lead to 5-2.

Dubón had a similar night versus the Miami Marlins on Aug. 6, going a perfect 4-for-4 at the dish and plating two runs as the Braves secured a three-game sweep at Truist Park.

He also had one of his best games this season on April 2 against the Arizona Diamondbacks, hitting .429 and scoring three runs to propel Atlanta to a 17-2 blowout victory.

Dubón's impressive upswing comes after he concluded his time as an Astro in 2025 hitting .241 while logging 89 hits, 33 RBI and seven home runs. Furthermore, he would also miss the playoffs even though Houston finished 12 games above .500 and second in the AL West.

As the second half of the season continues, he will look to prove that he can deliver in the playoffs as well with the Braves having their sights set on earning their first World Series title since 2021 after toppling Dubón's former team in six games.

For now, Atlanta has an easy path to do so, ranking first in the NL East and holding a 7.5-game advantage over the Philadelphia Phillies. They have also held one of the best records in MLB, going 71-48 overall.

Dubón will have another opportunity to contribute in the Braves' lineup tonight against Mets starter Nolan McLean who has compiled a 3.51 ERA and 156 strikeouts through 130.2 innings pitched.
