In order to set themselves up to succeed against the Chicago Cubs, the Milwaukee Brewers are once again operating with a six-man starting rotation.
Milwaukee recently revealed their probable starters for the rest of the week, and that includes Logan Henderson, Shane Drohan, and Robert Gasser taking the mound when the Brewers return to American Family Field to take on the Texas Rangers.
With Dustin May and Jacob Misiorowski finishing this New York Mets series, the Brewers know they'll have Kyle Harrison, May, Misiorowski, and Henderson good to go for a four-game slate against the Cubs now that they've kept both Drohan and Gasser in the starting rotation.

With only a 5.5-game lead in the division, it's crucial that the Brewers at least come away with a series victory at Wrigley Field.
Obviously, they still have two more games against the Mets and then three against the Rangers, a team that currently leads the wild American League West, but it's clear the Cubs series is a focal point for manager Pat Murphy and Co., as it should be.
Drohan and Gasser have enough experience starting games this year which has given the Brewers hope that those two can help get them through another grueling stretch where they have to play 16 games in 16 days.
When Milwaukee acquired May at the trade deadline, it's clear that was their big move for a starting pitcher. Without Brandon Woodruff and Quinn Priester, the Brewers felt they were lacking a big-time fourth name to get them through a seven game series, but they believe they got that in May, someone who just gave up seven earned runs in his last start.
At the end of the day, one start can't determine everything. May is a veteran who has tons of experience when the lights shine the brightest, and that was a revenge game for the Seattle Mariners, a team that just got shut out, 22-0, the night prior.
All eyes on Brewers vs. Cubs
Not only do the Brewers and Cubs face off in a four-game series from Aug. 31-Sept. 3, but the Cubs will come to Milwaukee to end the Brewers 16 game stretch.
American Family Field will have a chance to see three more crucial games, three that could easily determine the tiebreaker and who ends up winning the National League Central.
Those take place from Sept. 7-9, so it's important to note that these teams will face each other seven times over a 10-game sample size.
