Brice Turang’s solo blast and clutch bullpen work fueled the Milwaukee Brewers' narrow victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

In a game that saw just three combined runs, the Milwaukee Brewers took down the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 1 of the National League Championship Series, 2-1.

The Dodgers actually outhit the Brewers, 7-6, on Sunday night at American Family Field, but in the end it was Luis Lara's RBI in the fifth inning that made the difference.

LA got on the board first in the top of the second, but then Brice Turang hit a solo homer off Dodgers starter Tarik Skubal in the fourth.

Jacob Misiorowski was far from his sharpest, and the Dodgers made things interesting off Trevor Megill in the bottom of the ninth. But, in the end, the 32-year-old picked up his third save while it was DL Hall who improved to 2-0 this postseason.

Brewers bullpen put up another zero

The lone run the Dodgers scored in this game came off Misiorowski in an inning that saw him throw 33 pitches.

A leadoff walk to Shohei Ohtani didn't set the Miz up for success as he would later allow a pair of singles that allowed Ohtani to score.

Thankfully, he had a pair of runs for support in this one as the Brewers took a 1-0 series lead.

Remember, the Dodgers swept the Brewers in the NLCS a year ago, so this win meant far more than some would think.

Hall recorded the final two outs of the fifth inning on just four pitches, and that's all he needed to pick up the win.

From there, Abner Uribe earned his second hold while Aaron Ashby picked up his first. Ashby didn't allow a hit in his two innings of work, despite only 13 of his 26 pitches being strikes.

Then, all eyes were on Megill. The star closer recorded the first two outs on five pitches, but allowed a pair of two-out walks. In the end, he got the job done, and this Brewers team is now three games away from their second-ever World Series appearance.

Turang snapped out of his slump

Together, Jackson Chourio and Turang combined for three of the Brewers' six hits. Turang drew a walk in addition to his solo homer, and it can't be stressed enough how big of a hit that was.

Skubal was handed the loss as Lara scored the second run off him in the fifth. Previously, Skubal had been 5-0 in his last five starts, and this is officially the first loss he's taken since Sunday, Aug. 16, which coincidentally was also against the Brewers.
