Milwaukee Brewers prospect Eric Bitonti will put his power on display Saturday after earning an invitation to the Arizona Fall League Home Run Derby.

The Milwaukee Brewers will have one of their young power prospects represented in the Arizona Fall League Home Run Derby, with Eric Bitonti earning a place among the eight participants.

Bitonti, who is playing for the Scottsdale Scorpions, will compete Saturday at Salt River Fields as the Fall League introduces a single-elimination format for its annual home run competition.

The 20-year-old infielder has already demonstrated considerable power during his professional career, and his latest performance in the Brewers' minor-league system has continued that trend.

Ranked No. 26 among Milwaukee's prospects, Bitonti established a new personal best with 25 home runs during the 2026 season. All of those long balls came with High-A Wisconsin, marking another step forward in his offensive development.

His production has helped establish him as an intriguing power option within the Brewers' farm system. He has also carried some of that success into Arizona, where he has recorded two home runs for Scottsdale.

Career-best power production

Bitonti's offensive development has been one of the notable aspects of his first three full professional seasons.

The corner infielder has averaged approximately 60 home runs across those campaigns, demonstrating the power potential that made him an interesting prospect for Milwaukee.

His 25-homer performance in 2026 represented a new career high and gave him additional momentum heading into the Arizona Fall League.

Playing primarily at first and third base, Bitonti has continued working to establish himself offensively while gaining experience against increasingly advanced competition.

The Fall League has provided another opportunity to test his approach against talented pitching prospects from organizations throughout baseball. His two home runs with Scottsdale have also secured his place among the circuit's eight Derby participants.

New format creates additional competition

Bitonti will face a different challenge Saturday as the Home Run Derby moves to a head-to-head tournament format.

The eight participants will be seeded according to their Fall League home run totals through Friday, with additional home run distance serving as the initial tiebreaker when necessary.

The competition begins with a preliminary round before advancing into four first-round matchups. Winners will move into the semifinals, with the final two hitters competing for the championship.

Each round will give hitters nine outs to accumulate as many points as possible. Every home run counts equally, meaning distance will not provide an additional scoring advantage.

Tied matchups will be decided through consecutive one-swing tiebreakers until one participant advances.

Another opportunity for Brewers' prospect

For Bitonti, the competition represents another chance to showcase the power that has become an important part of his prospect profile.

His 25-home run campaign with Wisconsin provided a career milestone, while his Arizona Fall League assignment has allowed him to continue developing against a strong collection of minor league talent.

The Home Run Derby offers a different setting from regular game action, but it gives Bitonti an opportunity to demonstrate his ability to generate power in front of evaluators and fans.
