Pitcher's duel ends up being 10th-inning collapse for Milwaukee Brewers as Pittsburg Pirates take 6-3 victory.

Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Jacob Misiorowski and Pittsburgh Pirates starter Mitch Keller were putting together stellar starts on Saturday night at American Family Field in Milwaukee.

But the Pirates were able to score three runs in the top of the 10th inning, defeating the Brewers 6-3.

Misiorowski worked six innings, giving up six hits, three runs (all earned), walked one, and struck out nine. He even managed to bust the 100-mph limit on one of his pitches, too. Keller worked five innings, giving up five hits, three runs (all earned), walking two, and striking out six.

This pitcher's duel, despite both of them giving up three runs apiece, was worth watching.

For Brewers fans, though, things turned into a nightmare in the top of the 10th inning.

Oneil Cruz struck out swinging for the Pirates in the top of the 10th inning. With runners at first and second base with one out, Bryan Reynolds singled to left and Henry Davis scored. Pittsburgh went up 4-3 at that point.

Then, with runners at second and third base with two outs, Nick Gonzales singled to left field. Nick Yorke and Reynolds scored, putting the Pirates up at 6-3.

The Brewers weren't able to score in their half of the 10th inning, and that was the ballgame.

It's not like the Brew Crew didn't have chances to score more runs, either. They left eight runners on base, and went 1-for-7 with runners in scoring position. It's enough to keep Brewers manager Pat Murphy pacing the floor a little at night.

For the Pirates, they left seven runners on base, but went 4-for-7 with runners in scoring position on Saturday night. That probably proved to be the difference in the final score.

Milwaukee falls back to .500 this season at 13-13 with the defeat, sitting in fifth place in the National League Central Division. As for the Pirates, they go to 16-11 and hold down third place in the NL Central.

The Brewers and Pirates will wrap up their three-game weekend series on Sunday afternoon. Then, Milwaukee hosts the Arizona Diamondbacks for another three-game series at American Family Field.
