Armed with a record-shattering 104.5 mph heater and 15 strikeouts, the Milwaukee Brewers' fireballer delivered a clinical one-hit masterpiece that redefined the limits of modern pitching dominance.

There's an argument to be made that Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Jacob Misiorowski just pitched the best game in baseball history.

Things started with a bang as he threw a 104.5-mph heater which just so happened to be the fastest pitch ever thrown by a starting pitcher.

If that's not impressive enough, he struck out a career high 15 batters in a one-hit, complete game shutout.

Pitchers going all nine innings is a rarity these days, but Pat Murphy had more than enough trust to let Miz finish what he started in the Brewers' 6-0 victory.

All-in-all, Misiorowski made a statement in a game that won't soon be forgotten.

The 24-Year-Old is Untouchable

Miz improved to 8-2 while his ERA fell to 1.34, a number that doesn't seem real. Time and time again the Brewers find aces left and right. Even without the likes of Corbin Burnes or Freddy Peralta anymore, Misiorowski filled that void and made it look easy.

The righty had just five two-ball counts and didn't have three balls against him a single time on June 12. Of the 95 pitches he threw, 74 of those were for strikes.

Designated hitter Kyle Schwarber hit a weak single to center field in the fourth. Other than that, it was one of the cleanest pitching performances, if not the best in franchise history.

Sure, there have been complete game no hitters and starters used to go nine innings consistently, but what Miz did here with his velocity and the strikeout numbers are simply unheard of.

Velocity is Off the Charts

Reaching 104.5 mph is crazy enough, but obviously that wasn't a number he'd be able to hit multiple times in a row, let alone touch again in this game. That said, Miz continued to hit triple digits all the way into the ninth inning.

Miz needed nine pitches to get the job done in the ninth inning. Other than a 92 mph changeup to start the inning, eight of those nine pitches were 100-plus mph, including three 103 mph pitches in the final at-bat of the game.

Baseball fans will argue one way or another, but there's at least a discussion to be had that this was the greatest pitching performance of all time.

Fifteen batters struck out in a game that saw Miz face the minimum, even with a hit allowed. His fastball is untouchable, and no one in the league has ever had this sort of velocity consistently through nine innings.
