Arizona Diamondbacks top prospect Demetrio Crisantes has made an early impact in the Arizona Fall League.

The Arizona Fall League offers prospects another opportunity to develop after the conclusion of the regular minor-league season, and Demetrio Crisantes is taking advantage of the chance to build momentum before the offseason.

The Arizona Diamondbacks prospect has emerged as one of the early standouts for Salt River, combining consistent contact with improved production on the basepaths during the opening stretch of the 2026 campaign.

The league began its 34th season on Oct. 3, bringing together some of baseball's most promising young players for additional development against advanced competition. With several games already completed, Crisantes has established himself as a hitter to watch among the circuit's early performers.

Crisantes makes an immediate impact

Crisantes entered the Fall League looking to build on his development within the Diamondbacks organization. Through his first five games with Salt River, the infielder has hit .400 with a 1.029 OPS, five RBIs and 12 total bases.

His early production has been fueled by hard contact and an ability to consistently put the ball in play. Crisantes has recorded seven batted balls with exit velocities exceeding 98 mph, demonstrating the quality of contact behind his offensive results.

He was particularly productive Friday, recording four of those hard-hit balls in a single game. That performance highlighted his ability to generate consistent contact rather than relying exclusively on isolated extra-base hits to produce offense.

Crisantes has also collected eight hits, tying him for the second-most in the league during the opening stretch. His 12 total bases rank among the circuit's best marks, further illustrating how frequently he has reached base and contributed to Salt River's offense.

Speed adds another dimension to Diamondbacks

Beyond his performance at the plate, Crisantes has introduced an additional element to his game through his activity on the basepaths.

He has already stolen three bases in five appearances with Salt River. That development stands out because he did not record a stolen base in 92 regular-season games before arriving in the Fall League.

While the early sample remains small, his aggressiveness on the bases offers another area to monitor as he continues his development. The ability to contribute with both his bat and his legs could make him a more versatile offensive player if the improvement carries forward.

Crisantes is Arizona's top-ranked prospect and sits at No. 84 on MLB Pipeline's overall prospect list, giving his Fall League performance added significance for the organization.

The Fall League remains a relatively brief window for prospects to refine their skills before the next season, but Crisantes has already used his first five games to make a strong impression. Maintaining his quality of contact while continuing to contribute on the bases will be important as the schedule progresses.
