Kiké Hernández made a heads-up play to end Game 6 in incredible fashion. Dodgers force Game 7 at Rogers Centre. Look for Shohei Ohtani (or Tyler Glasnow?) to start on Saturday night for Los Angeles.

UPDATED: Dodgers manager Dave Roberts will start Shohei Ohtani in Game 7 against the Blue Jays' Max Scherzer.

Good Lord, if you are a Los Angeles Dodgers fan, then you got a sweet Halloween gift that was not spooky at all.

Kiké Hernández made an incredible catch with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning, throwing to second baseman Miguel Rojas for a 7-4 double play and sent the Dodgers to a Game 7 in the 2025 World Series.

The Dodgers rode a three-run inning, a stellar start from Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and some excellent bullpen work to score a 3-1 victory at Rogers Centre on Friday night.

The Blue Jays had some tough luck happen on a ground-rule double in the bottom of the ninth. Due to the ball getting stuck at the bottom of the outfield wall, runners at first and second with none out were sent back to second and third. The Blue Jays were 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position, too.

Tyler Glasnow came on for Roki Sasaki and shut the door on Toronto.

Addison Barger was getting roasted online for his baserunning on the game's final play. In all honesty, Barger should have been closer to second base. You don't want to make a third out in the bottom of the ninth that way. George Springer was going to come up next, but Barger's blunder kept Springer out of the batter's box.

It's a gutsy victory for the Dodgers, who came into the game with two straight losses in the 2025 World Series. But Mookie Betts, who has struggled throughout the series against the Blue Jays, came through at the plate.

Oh, who's starting on Saturday night? Shohei Ohtani. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts revealed after Game 6 that Ohtani will, once again, be called on to not only pitch but hit in the Dodgers lineup. Tyler Glasnow might be available in relief during Game 7 if necessary.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider said after Friday night's loss that Max Scherzer would get the Game 7 start.

The Rogers Centre crowd was left stunned after Hernández's amazing play. The Dodgers won with defense and their bullpen. This was a winning formula that even the heartiest Dodgers fan would not have expected, but it did happen in front of a national TV audience on Fox and in Canada.

Oh my, we have a Game 7, people.

In the top of the third, Tommy Edman doubled down the right-field line with one out. Ohtani was intentionally walked with one out. Will Smith then doubled, scoring Edman for a 1-0 Dodgers lead. Freddie Freeman then walked.

Up comes Mookie with a chance to turn his awful postseason into a better story. And he delivered, hitting a two-run single that scored Smith and Ohtani for a 3-0 Dodgers lead.

In the bottom of the third, Barger doubled and, with two outs and Barger on third, Springer delivered an RBI single to put the Blue Jays within 3-1 at that point.

The scoring was done, though, in Game 6.

Dodgers starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who picked up the Game 6 victory, went six innings. He gave up five hits and one earned run while striking out six. Toronto starter Kevin Gausman took the loss despite also pitching quite well. For Gausman, he went six innings, giving up three runs (all earned) while striking out eight and walking two.

Glasnow pitched the ninth and earned his first save.

Dodgers fans, get your Dodger Blue out in full force because your team will need all the support it can get even if Game 7 is not being played at home.

There's hardly two words in the world of sports that are not prettier than Game 7.

But the Dodgers earned their way to a deciding game.

It's somewhat fitting that this 2025 World Series comes down to this point.

    Dodgers.

    Blue Jays.

May the better team win on Saturday night.
