Yoshinobu Yamamoto was the right man, in the right place, at the right time for the Los Angeles Dodgers. An incredible start, backed up by big hits from Mookie Betts and, of course, Shohei Ohtani led the Dodgers past the Cincinnati Reds 8-4 on Wednesday night.
The Dodgers now move on to the National League Division Series. Who will the Dodgers face? Oh, just Kyle Schwarber, Bryce Harper and the Philadelphia Phillies. That series ought to be a slobberknocker as Jim Ross would say.
Yamamoto went deep into the game, throwing more than 100 pitches in the start. He got some offense behind him and the Dodgers led 8-2 at one point. Cincinnati tacked on a couple of runs late and had a two-out, bases-loaded situation. But could not score more runs in the eighth.
The Reds had a great season and reached the postseason, but they are going home to Cincinnati.
Dodgers Roundtable has all the details in the comments section below along with some social media posts that highlight key points in the game.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts sent Roki Sasaki out to put the hammer down in the ninth and he did just that with a 1-2-3 ninth.
The Dodgers got to Reds starter Zack Littell and forced him out of the game early.
Check out all our coverage below and Dodgers Roundtable will have more coverage as the Dodgers roll on into the Divisional Series. When that starts is up in the air a bit as other Wild Card Series are still in play.
Make sure to come back to Dodgers Roundtable for updates.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto gets the start for the Dodgers against Zack Littell for the Reds.
On Tuesday night, Shohei Ohtani and Teosar Hernández both hit two home runs in the Dodgers' 10-5 win. Blake Snell was incredible, going seven innings en route to the victory. The Dodgers bullpen was a little shaky late, but Blake Treinen came on in the ninth to shut things down.
All the Dodgers have to do in order to keep their run toward repeating as World Series champions is to win on Wednesday night.
