Andy Pages goes 2-for-3 with a home run as Los Angeles Dodgers edge past Team Mexico 7-5.

It was a big day on Wednesday at Camelback Ranch in Glendale, Arizona, as the Los Angeles Dodgers hosted Team Mexico, who is headed to the World Baseball Classic, in an exhibition game.

Designated hitter Andy Pages went 2-for-3 with a home run, a double, one RBI, and two runs scored as the Dodgers edged past Team Mexico 7-5. Dalton Rushing also went 2-for-3 with two RBIs in the game.

Jack Dreyer picked up the win for Los Angeles and Ben Casparius earned a save.

In the bottom of the second inning, Pages homered over the left-center field wall for a 1-0 Los Angeles lead. Rushing followed with a triple to center field, scoring Santiago Espinal for a 2-0 Dodgers advantage.

Then, in the top of the third for Team Mexico, Nacho Alvarez Jr. singled to center, knocking in Jonathan Aranda and Alejandro Kirk for a 2-2 tie game. Rowdy Tellez moved to second base on the play. Mexico added another run for a 3-2 lead at that point.

But the Dodgers answered right back. Espinal doubled to right, scoring Pages and tying things up at 3-3. Rushing then doubled to right, scoring Espinal and putting Los Angeles back up 4-3.

In the top of the fifth inning, Kirk singled to right and Aranda moved to second base. Alvarez singled to left, bringing home Aranda and moving Kirk to second base. That tied things up at 4-4.

The Dodgers, though, had some rally energy in them on Wednesday. In the bottom of the eighth, Joe Vetrano hit a ground-rule double down the right-field line. Austin Gauthier scored on the play, giving Los Angeles a 5-4 lead. Elijah Hainline moved to third on the play.

With two outs in the eighth, Kendall George singled to left, bringing home Vetrano George ultimately reached third base on a throwing error by left fielder Julian Ornelas. The Dodgers ultimately took a 7-4 lead and that was the ballgame.

Team Mexico falls to 1-1 in exhibition play with the loss. 

As for the Dodgers, they get back to Cactus League play on Thursday. They will play the Cincinnati Reds, followed by a Friday matchup with the Kansas City Royals.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts will get a chance to see his players take the field and get ready to go for the 2026 MLB season. Opening Day is just a few weeks away now, so Dodgers fans can get ready to visit Dodger Stadium soon.
