Los Angeles Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman commented on the team's talent depth after the ballclub sent the Atlanta Braves home and put LA into the National League Championship Series.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are moving on to the National League Championship Series.

Los Angeles defeated the Atlanta Braves 4-1 in Game 4 of the NL Division Series, closing out the series and earning another trip to the NLCS. This victory definitely impressed Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman.

The victory was a reflection of the depth that the Dodgers have built throughout their roster, with contributions coming from both their established stars and players who stepped into important postseason roles.

For Friedman, the series demonstrated how many different players can impact a postseason game.

“What stands out for me is the depth of talent,” Friedman said after the win.

Friedman pointed to the number of players who contributed from different areas of the roster, including the bench and bullpen. That depth became especially important as the Dodgers navigated four games against Atlanta and continued to find ways to win.

The Dodgers will now prepare for the NLCS, where they will face either the Milwaukee Brewers or San Diego Padres beginning Sunday.

Díaz becomes a difference-maker

One of the biggest developments for Los Angeles came from Edwin Díaz, whose postseason impact has arrived after a difficult stretch earlier in the year.

Díaz was trusted with increasingly important innings during the series, including multiple appearances as the Dodgers looked to protect leads. His ability to handle those situations became another example of the team's willingness to rely on players in unconventional roles when the circumstances called for it.

Friedman said the Dodgers saw signs of Díaz returning to his previous form late in the regular season, particularly with his fastball and overall execution.

“He had the heartbeat for the moment,” Friedman said.

The Dodgers' belief in Díaz ultimately paid off at the most important point of the season. His ability to contribute late in games has given Los Angeles another weapon heading into the NLCS.

Hernández sees Dodgers coming together

Teoscar Hernández also emphasized the collective effort behind the Dodgers' advancement.

Los Angeles' offense faced difficult pitching throughout the series, but the lineup continued to find ways to pressure Atlanta's starters and eventually get into the Braves' bullpen. Hernández said the Dodgers entered the series with a clear objective: make opposing starters work and create opportunities against the relief corps.

The approach helped the Dodgers advance despite facing challenging pitching matchups.

Hernández also pointed to the growth of Andy Pages through the postseason experience. He noted how much more comfortable Pages appeared compared with their previous October experiences and credited his preparation for allowing them to perform on the biggest stage.

Skubal embraces the winning culture

Tarik Skubal, who helped set the tone for the Dodgers earlier in the series, was equally enthusiastic about reaching the next round.

Skubal described the Dodgers' culture, preparation and expectations as major reasons he enjoys being part of the team. For him, the objective remains straightforward: win.

“Winning is everything in sports,” Skubal said.

That mindset now carries into the NLCS.

The Dodgers can celebrate their series victory, but the next challenge is already approaching. With the Braves behind them and another postseason round beginning Sunday, Los Angeles will have little time to rest before turning its attention toward either Milwaukee or San Diego.

For now, though, the Dodgers can appreciate another series victory and the depth that helped them get there.
