Los Angeles Dodgers top prospect Kellon Lindsey is putting together his most productive professional season yet.

Kellon Lindsey is beginning to show why the Los Angeles Dodgers selected him in the first round of the 2024 MLB Draft.

After injuries interrupted the early stages of his professional career, Lindsey has finally been able to spend an extended period on the field in 2026. The results have made this season an important step forward for the 20-year-old infielder.

Lindsey entered the year as one of the Dodgers' more intriguing young prospects, largely because of his exceptional athletic ability and speed. Now, his offensive development is starting to make his overall profile even more interesting.

The Dodgers selected Lindsey with the 23rd overall pick out of Hardee High School in Florida. He was a standout two-sport athlete whose baseball development was somewhat unconventional because of his football commitment and injuries during the amateur showcase circuit.

His professional debut did little to provide a full evaluation of his abilities. A shoulder issue limited Lindsey to only 32 games in 2025, and the injury continued to affect his availability entering this season.

He eventually made his 2026 debut with Single-A Ontario on May 13 and quickly made up for lost time.

Lindsey immediately put together a 12-game hitting streak after joining the club, demonstrating the offensive ability that had been somewhat overshadowed by his elite athleticism. Although another injury kept him out for much of June, he has returned to the lineup and continued producing.

Through 58 games with Ontario, Lindsey is batting .289 with a .416 on-base percentage and a .500 slugging percentage. He has also recorded 10 home runs, 17 stolen bases and 52 runs scored.

That type of production represents an encouraging development for a player whose speed has always been his most obvious tool.

Lindsey is considered one of the fastest prospects in the game, with his running ability giving him the chance to impact games in multiple ways. His speed allows him to turn routine plays into difficult ones defensively, while his ability on the bases can immediately change an inning once he reaches safely.

The biggest question entering the season was whether Lindsey could develop enough offensively to complement those physical tools.

So far, he has provided encouraging answers.

Rather than relying exclusively on his speed and contact ability, Lindsey has begun showing more power than expected. His 10 home runs in just 58 games represent a significant addition to his offensive profile and give opposing pitchers another element to consider.

His ability to reach base has been equally encouraging. A .416 on-base percentage demonstrates that Lindsey is doing more than simply putting the ball in play. He is finding ways to create opportunities for himself and take advantage of his speed once he reaches.

Health remains an important part of Lindsey's development. He has dealt with multiple injuries since being drafted, including the shoulder problem that disrupted his first professional season and a back issue that affected him earlier this year.

Still, the extended stretch of games he has received in 2026 has allowed Lindsey to demonstrate what he can do when he is on the field consistently.

The Dodgers have plenty of young talent throughout their organization, but Lindsey is starting to separate himself with a more well-rounded offensive game.

If he can continue producing while staying healthy, his combination of elite speed, athleticism and emerging power could make him an increasingly important part of the Dodgers' prospect picture.
