Los Angeles Dodgers prospect Emil Morales continued his impressive season Wednesday by hitting his second grand slam of the year.

Emil Morales continues to make his case as one of the most dangerous young hitters in the Los Angeles Dodgers' organization.

The 19-year-old shortstop delivered another impressive performance Wednesday, going 4-for-5 with a grand slam for High-A Great Lakes. Despite Morales' big night, the Loons fell to Fort Wayne, 6-5.

The grand slam was the second of the season for Morales and the fourth of his professional career. It also continued what has been an outstanding year for the Dodgers' No. 4 prospect and MLB's No. 24 overall prospect.

Morales wasted little time getting involved in the game. He recorded his first hit in the opening inning, then added another single in the third. His biggest moment came in the fourth inning when Great Lakes loaded the bases with two outs.

Morales took advantage of the opportunity, driving a pitch over the center-field wall for a grand slam and giving the Loons an important offensive boost.

He later grounded out in the seventh before collecting his fourth hit of the night with a single in the ninth inning.

The performance was another example of Morales' ability to produce when his team needs a big hit. He has been particularly effective with runners in scoring position throughout the 2026 season and has consistently provided extra-base power in the middle of the lineup.

Morales has split the season between two minor-league levels and has driven in 106 runs, putting him among the leaders in that category throughout the Dodgers' farm system.

His power has also stood out. Morales has hit 23 home runs this season, along with 30 doubles and 56 extra-base hits. His 23 homers are the most among teenagers in the Minor Leagues this year.

The Dodgers signed Morales for $1.8 million as an international free agent in 2024, and he has quickly developed into one of the organization's most intriguing offensive prospects.

At just 19 years old, Morales is already showing the type of power that could make him a significant part of the Dodgers' future. His ability to consistently deliver big hits, particularly with runners on base, has only added to his rising profile, not to mention his keen eye at the plate, which further bolsters his reputation as an all-around hitter.

There is still plenty of development ahead for Morales as he continues his climb through the Minor Leagues. However, performances like Wednesday's are another indication that the young shortstop is becoming one of the most exciting bats in the Dodgers' system.
