Glasnow goes up against "Mad Max" as Dodgers look to take Game 3 as World Series shifts to Dodger Stadium for next three games.

There was no World Series action on Sunday as the Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays headed to the West Coast, where the 2025 Fall Classic picks up on Monday night.

What a pitcher's duel awaits Dodgers fans as they roll into Dodger Stadium for the 8 p.m. Eastern first pitch.

Tyler Glasnow gets the nod from Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, while Blue Jays manager John Schneider sends out Max Scherzer.

As much as Dodgers righthander Yoshinobu Yamamoto threw an incredible complete-game win in Game 2 at Rogers Centre, is it possible that MLB fans are going to see a similar performance on Fox when they watch Game 3?

Yamamoto was on his game in Game 2 in Toronto.

Don't be surprised if either Glasnow or Scherzer come as close as possible to repeating Yamamoto's effort. They might not totally equal that incredible outing, but they might be close.

Glasnow, a righthander, has had a solid postseason for the Dodgers. In back-to-back starts for the Dodgers, Glasnow recorded eight strikeouts. He's only given up one run in 13 1/3 innings. While Glasnow had to miss time due to shoulder inflammation, he finished up the 2025 MLB regular season on a heater.

Over 13 starts, Glasnow posted a 2.86 ERA, according to MLB.com.

OK, that's good. What about Scherzer now? He performed admirably in the American League Championship Series against the Seattle Mariners. Scherzer kept the Mariners bats in check, only giving up two runs in 5 2/3 innings of work. Should Toronto win on Monday night and force the series back to Rogers Centre, it's highly probable that Scherzer might start a Game 7.

Would you believe it? Mad Max in a Game 7? Those Blue Jays fans would be going out of their minds. Scherzer didn't pitch in the American League Division Series, but showed he still has some solid stuff in the ALCS.

The Dodgers want to make sure a Game 7 in Toronto does not become a reality.

Schneider also said on Sunday that Bo Bichette would start at second base.

As for the Dodgers lineup against Scherzer, look for the top three spots - Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman - to carry over from Game 2. Getting Ohtani going at the plate on a consistent basis is key for Roberts and his team.

One additional note ahead of Monday night. The respective bullpens are in good shape, especially for the Dodgers. Yamamoto's complete game kept Roki Sasaki and his fellow relievers out of live game action. Roberts will have a full complement of relievers to choose from should Glasnow need help.

It's about time to have Game 3 start at Dodger Stadium. Both teams caught a breather on Sunday, but it all starts back up quickly.

Look for the Dodgers to do their best to get an advantage in Game 3.
