Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Kiké Hernández lets the world know that he's running it back with World Series champs.

Kiké Hernández is coming back to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

On Thursday, Hernández let the baseball world know that he's returning and looking for a third straight World Series title. Later on Thursday, the Dodgers made his signing official with a post on X.

There also was some question as to whether or not the Dodgers would bring back the utility infielder after he had left elbow surgery during this offseason.

Hernández, though, would not go public with such an announcement unless it was in the books.

Hernández announced his return on his Instagram account on Wednesday morning. DodgersBeat picked it up and shared Hernandez's post on X.

Besides the Dodgers, Hernández has played for the Houston AstrosMiami Marlins, and Boston Red Sox. Thursday's announcement from Hernández means that his second stint of duty with Los Angeles keeps on rolling along.

Hernández has appeared in 87 postseason games as a member of the Dodgers. That's an all-time team record, too. Speaking of the postseason, in 2025, Hernández put up a .250 batting average with one home run and seven RBIs in 17 postseason games for Los Angeles.

His overall numbers, though, were not impressive last season. Hernández put together a slash line of .203/.255/.621 throughout the 2025 MLB season. As for his career slash line, Hernandez has put together one of .236/.305/.708.

Hernández has seen action at second base and shortstop. With his veteran's wisdom and experience, it's a good thing that the Dodgers will have him back in the fold. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has seen Hernández play before, of course, so he knows what type of player he'll be getting back in the lineup.

Hernández was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on August 24, 1991. He was drafted in the sixth round of the 2009 MLB Draft by the Astros. Hernández played his high school ball at High School: American Military Academy in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. He made his major-league debut with the Astros back on July 1, 2014.

For the Dodgers, a player of Hernández's caliber really gives them a solid addition back to the infield lineup. If he's able to get into Spring Training soon at Camelback Ranch in Glendale, Ariz., then he'll be able to get some work in before Opening Day.

Still, what type of condition he shows up in, especially after his elbow surgery, will be worth keeping an eye on in the coming days.

Later on Thursday, MLB.com also had a story about Hernández's return.
