The Los Angeles Dodgers officially introduced outfielder Kyle Tucker to the media at a press conference on Wednesday.
Dodgers Nation host Doug McKain was at Dodger Stadium on Wednesday and shared a first look at Tucker putting on a Dodgers jersey.
In his first comments, Tucker explained why he signed with the Dodgers instead of the Toronto Blue Jays or New York Mets.
"This organization from the top-down is first class and the team that these guys put together to give a great product for the fanbase and to compete for championships speaks for itself," Tucker said, according to Dodgers Nation.
Tucker will wear No. 23 on his uniform, which was last worn by Michael Conforto, who played with the Dodgers.
Also on Wednesday, the Dodgers officially announced Tucker's signing and an according roster move to make room for Tucker.
Dodgers general manager Brandon Gomes and manager Dave Roberts were alongside Tucker in this first time for reporters to ask Tucker, Gomes, and Roberts questions about the signing.
For the Dodgers, making this move gives them another piece of the puzzle when going for a third straight World Series championship.
Tucker already has a World Series ring from his time with the Houston Astros. Last season, Tucker played for the Chicago Cubs before entering into the free agent marketplace.
Longtime Dodgers beat reporter Jack Harris of the California Post picked up on a Roberts comment regarding where Tucker would play in the lineup.
"Dave Roberts said Kyle Tucker will play right field (Teoscar Hernández will go to left) and likely will hit in the top-third of the batting order for the Dodgers," Harris posted on X.
The Dodgers will be heading to spring training soon in Arizona, and it will be interesting to see how Tucker hits in Cactus League play.
For now, the Dodgers are just happy to have King Tuck as part of the organization. Tucker might not be the loudest player in the clubhouse, but he knows how to make things happen when he's out in the field.
Tucker also is pretty decent at the plate, too. Those two things will be important to see from Roberts' perspective going into the 2026 MLB season.
