While some MLB followers might have thought Tucker was potentially going to Toronto, he ends up going to the West Coast and the baseball world reacts.

The MLB world was rocked a bit on Thursday night as reactions were flying in with the news that the Los Angeles Dodgers signed free agent outfielder Kyle Tucker. The deal with Tucker is for four years and totals $240 million.

As it turns out, the chatter about Tucker, who is represented by Casey Close of Excel Sports Management, possibly looking to go to the Toronto Blue Jays and not wanting to be in a big market was just that -- chatter.

MLB insider Jon Heyman of the New York Post headed out to X and shared the contract basics.

But wait, there's more. ESPN MLB insider Jeff Passan had even more of a breakdown when it came to Tucker's contract.

"Kyle Tucker's four-year, $240 million contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers includes opt-outs after the second and third seasons, sources tell ESPN," Passan posted on X. "An enormous windfall for the best free agent available. And the champs get even better. @ByRobertMurray was on top of the money."

Passan gave a shoutout to MLB insider Robert Murray of FanSided, who had the financial details on Tucker's contract.

Jack Harris, longtime Dodgers beat writer who's now with the California Post, even offered more insights into the Tucker deal and how things came together.

"As Kyle Tucker's market started heating up in recent days, it was unclear if the Dodgers were going to be willing to match the Mets' $50 AAV offer," Harris posted on X. "Turns out, they went even higher. His $60M annual salary will rank second in MLB behind only (Shohei) Ohtani (not accounting for deferrals)".

Before getting into other reactions, Tucker had his own reaction late Thursday night. Harris shared Tucker's Instagram post on X.

DodgersMuse had one of the funnier posts on X when news about Tucker's signing broke. Of course, the Dodgers also added free-agent reliever Edwin Díaz to a big contract in the offseason, too. In the DodgersMuse post, it's former NFL legend and University of Miami former player and backer Michael Irvin going wild.

An account named Mike, who is a writer for Sports Mockery, which covers Chicago sports, offered his thoughts from a Chicago sports perspective.

Dodgers Nation, which is a site that covers all things Dodgers, shared some thoughts about Tucker's deal and even gives a tip of its cap to Ohtani.

Bill Plunkett, who covers the Dodgers for the Orange County Register, pointed out on Thursday night that the Dodgers met two of their biggest needs.

Don't think that the reaction to this big contract between the Dodgers and Tucker will die down. It's only going to get a lot wilder and crazier, especially from Dodgers fans, in the coming hours and days.
