Eduardo Quintero enters the Arizona Fall League as the Los Angeles Dodgers’ top representative.
The Arizona Fall League has long served as one of baseball’s premier stages for prospects looking to take another step toward the major leagues.
For the Los Angeles Dodgers, that opportunity will center around outfielder Eduardo Quintero.
Quintero enters the 2026 Arizona Fall League as the Dodgers’ top prospect participating in the developmental circuit and the highest-ranked player in the league. MLB Pipeline currently ranks him No. 3 in the Dodgers’ system and No. 18 overall among prospects.
The 21-year-old outfielder is part of a Dodgers group that also includes Charles Davalan, Chase Harlan, Marlon Nieves, Brooks Auger, Anson Aroz, Luke Fox, Sam Horn, and Cody Morse. The Dodgers are one of the organizations bringing a particularly deep group of prospects to Arizona, with five players ranked inside their organizational Top 30.
Quintero stands out for Dodgers
Quintero’s presence, however, gives the Dodgers a centerpiece.
Signed out of Venezuela for $297,500 in 2023, Quintero has steadily climbed through the organization since beginning his professional career. He emerged as one of the Dodgers’ most intriguing young players during the 2025 season, when he earned California League MVP and Prospect of the Year honors.
His 2026 season continued that progression.
Quintero spent the majority of the year with High-A Great Lakes, where he hit .309/.455/.495 with 12 home runs, 68 RBIs and 44 stolen bases across 111 games. He also collected 45 extra-base hits while leading the Midwest League in both batting average and on-base percentage.
Those numbers are particularly notable considering Quintero was only 20 years old for much of the season.
His offensive profile is built around his ability to consistently reach base while also providing speed and developing power. MLB’s scouting report gives him above-average grades for his running ability and arm, with solid marks for his hitting, power and defense.
Move to center field helps Quintero
Quintero originally trained as a catcher in Venezuela before the Dodgers transitioned him to center field. The move allowed the organization to take greater advantage of his athleticism while giving him an opportunity to develop at a premium defensive position.
The Fall League will provide another opportunity for Quintero to face advanced competition and continue refining his game before entering the 2027 season.
The 2026 AFL season begins Oct. 3 and concludes with the championship game on Nov. 14, with the Fall Stars Game scheduled for Nov. 8. Quintero will play for the Glendale Desert Dogs.
With his combination of production, age, and tools, Quintero gives the Dodgers one of the most recognizable prospects to follow throughout the six-week league.
