Taking a look at players who probably will be on Los Angeles Dodgers' Opening Day roster.

The MLB world is now 14 days away from Opening Day, or Opening Night in this case, and the Los Angeles Dodgers are tuning things up.

Of course, the Dodgers want to go ahead and grab a third straight World Series championship. Dodgers fans have been waiting and waiting for the 2026 MLB season to roll around.

Well, it's practically here and Los Angeles has been doing its best to tune things up in Spring Training at Camelback Ranch in Glendale, Arizona.

All of the Dodgers' top players, of course, have been spending time getting in shape for the upcoming season. Yes, a few players have left Spring Training to go play in the World Baseball Classic.

Still, the Dodgers remain focused and intentional on making sure they put the best lineup out on the field at all times.

What, though, will the team look like when the season starts full throttle?

Dodgers MLB.com beat reporter Sonja Chen looked into her crystal ball and came up with a roster. In the MLB.com article, Chen breaks down things in a position-by-position case.

Based on Chen's prognostications, let's see where she has Dodgers players placed at the start of this season.

  • Catcher: Will Smith, Dalton Rushing
  • First baseman: Freddie Freeman
  • Second baseman: Hyeseong Kim
  • Shortstop: Mookie Betts
  • Third base: Max Muncy
  • Utility/bench: Miguel Rojas, Santiago Espinal
  • Outfielders: Teoscar Hernández, Andy Pages, Kyle Tucker, Alex Call
  • Two-way player: Shohei Ohtani
  • Starting pitchers: Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Tyler Glasnow, Emmet Sheehan, Roki Sasaki
  • Relief pitchers: Edwin Díaz, Tanner Scott, Alex Vesia, Blake Treinen, Jack Dreyer, Justin Wrobleski, Will Klein, Ben Casparius, Edgardo Henriquez

When putting a microscope on the Dodgers' outfield situation, Chen pointed out that the franchise focused on a situation that needed attention.

"The Dodgers addressed one of last year's weaknesses -- the outfield -- by going out and getting Tucker, the consensus top free agent," Chen wrote.

"Their main question at this position group is who can back up Pages in center field, where the depth is lacking without Edman," Chen continued. "Call has some experience in center, and Kim spent time working on his defense there this past offseason."

What about the bullpen that, at times, caused Dodgers manager Dave Roberts to look around for some antacid at times? Chen clearly stated, which wasn't worth doubting at all, that Díaz will fill the closer's role this season.

"The Dodgers are counting on Díaz to lock down the ninth inning and Scott and Treinen to rebound from a tough 2025 season," Chen wrote. "A trio of righties will begin the season on the IL -- Brock Stewart, Evan Phillips and Brusdar Graterol -- creating an opportunity for relievers such as Klein, Casparius, Henriquez and Kyle Hurt."

Los Angeles looks like it has a Murderer's Row type of roster going into the 2026 MLB season. They're the favorites to win it all one more time.

All they have to do now is to go out onto the field and get it done.

But, there are no true guarantees in the MLB world. Los Angeles will have to fight for its right to party at season's end for a third straight season.
