Yoshinobu Yamamoto is heading to World Baseball Classic. But he wrapped up Spring Training with Los Angeles Dodgers.

For Yoshinobu Yamamoto, his time at Camelback Ranch in Glendale, Arizona, with the Los Angeles Dodgers is now over. His next stop? The World Baseball Classic and playing for Samurai Japan.

Yamamoto worked three innings, giving up two earned runs and a home run, before exiting Friday's Cactus League start against the San Francisco Giants. The Giants pummeled Dodgers pitching throughout the game, so it wasn't all Yamamoto's fault. He also struck out four Giants, too.

Dodgers Nation put out a nice clip from Yamamoto's outing on X.

After Yamamoto left, Ryder Ryan followed and worked one inning. He gave up one run (earned) on three hits and struck out one. Luke Fox followed and worked 2/3 of an inning, giving up four runs (all earned) on two hits, walked two, and struck out one.

Christian Romero came on and worked 1/3 of an inning in relief, giving up two hits and one run (earned) while walking one. Romero gave up a home run in his outing.

Edgardo Henriquez followed and didn't retire one Giants batter at all. He allowed four runs (three earned) on one hit, walking two, and didn't strike out anyone.

As the game lingered toward the ninth inning, the Giants wrapped up a 12-4 victory. The Dodgers got their first Cactus League loss. San Francisco scored single runs in the first, second, and fourth innings.

But the Giants ganged up for five runs in the fifth and four runs in the sixth to put the game pretty much on ice.

Yamamoto's outing probably gives Dodgers manager Dave Roberts a semblance of comfort that his starting pitcher looks good. Yes, Yamamoto's outing might not have been as clean as Roberts and Dodgers pitching coach Mark Prior might have wanted to see out of him.

Remember, though, this is Spring Training, and working on pitches and mechanics at this point is important.

As for the other Dodgers pitchers who didn't measure up for Roberts and Prior, they may take a longer look at them after Friday's game.

Right fielder Zach Ehrhard had two hits for the Dodgers, but their offense was simply nowhere to be found on Friday.

On Saturday, its split-squad day for the Dodgers. One squad will go up against the Chicago Cubs, while another squad faces the Texas Rangers. Both games will start at 3:05 p.m. ET. And that wraps up February's Spring Training calendar.

March is upon us, Dodgers fans. That means Opening Day is still some days away, but it's much, much closer now.
