After watching Treinen and Co. struggle at times, team has a chance to retool that part of team.

As much as Los Angeles Dodgers fans and players are still reveling in another World Series championship, the Dodgers front office knows that the hard work of getting ready to go for a three-peat begins right now.

Starting Monday, all MLB general managers will get together for four days of intensive work. This probably will not result in any announcements regarding trades or free agent signings. Yet it's a very important period of time, not only for the Dodgers but all MLB teams.

When looking at what worked and what didn't for the most part, Los Angeles knows one area that immediately must be addressed - the bullpen.

Blake Treinen and Tanner Scott struggled a lot. The Dodgers bullpen became a nightmare at times for Dodgers manager Dave Roberts.

It seemed like no matter which reliever he put out there, trouble followed.

A ton of money was spent to shore up the bullpen. All that money, though, looks like it went down the drain from the Dodgers.

What will the defending World Series champions do? Maybe look at what's available on the free agent market and see if something can be done.

Entering the offseason, there are three key players who are free agents: outfielder Michael Conforto, utility player Kiké Hernández, and shortstop Miguel Rojas. Los Angeles has to decide whether it will bring these players back or let them walk.

Here's a little tidbit from an article put out by MLB.com that's worth thinking about right now.

"The bigger-picture question, however, is this: How and when do they start to reinvigorate a talented-but-aging lineup core, which features four key players (Freddie Freeman, Mookie Betts, Teoscar Hernández, and Max Muncy) who all will be 33 or older next season?" the article states.

"Each has shown signs of aging already, and even Will Smith and Shohei Ohtani, somehow, will be 31. Baseball’s oldest team needs to incorporate some position-player youth."

Those free agents probably still want to stay with the Dodgers. Conforto was a bust, though.

Dodgers fans should keep an eye on the GM meetings, along with the MLB Winter Meetings that will take place in early December.
