San Francisco Giants third baseman Matt Chapman picks up two hits as Giants, Chicago White Sox finish tied.

Matt Chapman looks like he's already for Opening Day for the San Francisco Giants.

Chapman went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored as the Giants and Chicago White Sox finished tied 3-3 on Thursday in Cactus League play. After the game, San Francisco now has a 15-3 Cactus League record. As for the White Sox, the struggling franchise is now 11-9 in Spring Training games.

On Friday, the Giants have split-squad games scheduled against the Cincinnati Reds both at home and on the road.

Last season, Chapman put together a slash line of .240/.330/.780. He finished with 21 home runs and 61 RBIs. That's a pretty healthy 2025 season for the third baseman, but he's got bigger goals on his mind for this season.

Chapman was a first-round draft choice (No. 25 overall) out of Cal State Fullerton by the Athletics in the 2014 MLB Amateur Draft.

Much like his fellow Giants teammates, they are getting used to having first-year manager Tony Vitello lead the ballclub,

Don't be surprised if Chapman breaks out of Spring Training and starts slashing at the plate.

Logan Webb Takes Mound for Team USA

While Chapman and the rest of the Giants are still in Spring Training, Giants starting pitcher Logan Webb has some bigger fish to fry, if you will, on Friday night.

Webb gets the ball for Team USA in the World Baseball Classic. Team USA will battle Team Canada at Daikin Park in Houston. The WBC quarterfinal showdown is slated for a first pitch at 8 p.m. ET and the game will air on Fox.

Team USA and Team Canada finished up the Pool play portion of the WBC with 3-1 records. Now, in the quarterfinals, both teams are looking to advance to the WBC semifinals.

Michael Soroka will get the start for Team Canada.

Whomever wins this WBC clash on Friday night advances to the WBC semifinals, which will be played at loanDepot Park in Miami.

Giants fans can tune in to see how Webb looks right now.

Team USA fans hope that Aaron Judge, Bryce Harper, and Kyle Schwarber are able to hit some blasts into Daikin Park's friendly Crawford Boxes, a short porch in left field.
