Guardians Trade For A Hitter
It's a vague prediction, but the Guardians aren't just in position to trade for a hitter; they need to stay in the playoff race.

Cooper Ingle Gets Traded
Cleveland will need to give up something of value to get back something worthwhile, and in that case, that might just be the organization's No. 3 prospect, Cooper Ingle.
Ingle's first stint in the big leagues didn't go great. He hit .095 (2-for-21) in seven games, including 12 strikeouts, and even made a massive error throwing the ball in the stands after recording the second out. Perhaps part of that had to do with Ingle playing out of position.

So far in the Minors this season, the 24-year-old owns a 1.042 OPS with 17 home runs.
Plus, the potential of a catcher having an upside bat should pique the interest of any club looking to make an upgrade behind the plate.
If the Guardians acquire a big-league-caliber hitter, it wouldn't be surprising to see Ingle in a potential trade package.
Steven Kwan Trade Rumors Heat Up, But He Stays In Cleveland
As the Guardians are falling down in the playoff race, Steven Kwan continues to get his season back on track.
Considering the former two-time All-Star was a popular trade candidate at the 2025 deadline, it would not be surprising if Kwan's name heats up in trade rumors ahead of the deadline.
That said, moving Kwan while the offense as a whole struggles could send mixed signals, so the most likely scenario is that the outfielder remains in Cleveland.
