The Mariners made five moves ahead of a series against the Chicago White Sox on Monday.

SEATTLE — Ahead of game one of a three-game series against the Chicago White Sox on Monday at T-Mobile Park, the Seattle Mariners made a flurry of roster moves ranging from short-term coverage in the bullpen to a potential long-term impact on the major league roster.

Here's a breakdown of the Mariners' recent string of roster moves.

Patrick Wisdom, INF, (Activated off 10-day injured list)

Wisdom has been on the 10-day IL since April 17 (retroactive to April 15) due to a left oblique strain. He was selected from the Triple-A Tacoma Rainiers just a day before his injury. He received one at-bat in the majors with Seattle before landing on the shelf.

With Tacoma, Wisdom has slashed .276/.389/.789 with a 1.178 OPS in 23 games. He's hit a double, a triple and 12 home runs with 23 RBIs.

Robinson Ortiz, LHP, (Recalled from Triple-A)

Ortiz will make his major league debut upon his first appearance for the Mariners.

Ortiz was acquired by Seattle in a trade with the Los Angeles Dodgers on Nov. 16. The M's sent over right-handed pitcher Tyler Gough in return for Ortiz.

Ortiz has posted a 1.69 ERA and has struck out 18 hitters in 16 innings pitched across 15 appearances with the Rainiers this season. He's yet to allow a home run this year.

Domingo Gonzalez, RHP, (Optioned to Triple-A)

Gonzalez was recalled from Tacoma on May 11 and has made four appearances with the Mariners since. Those four outings were his first in the major leagues.

Gonzalez didn't allow a run in his brief stint in the bigs. He fanned five, walked three and allowed five hits in 5.2 innings pitched.

Leo Rivas, INF, (Option to Triple-A)

The versatile infielder broke camp with the Mariners after stints of 43 and 48 games with the team in 2024 and 2025, respectively.

Defensively, Rivas has filled in at shortstop for J.P. Crawford this year and at third base for Brendan Donovan while both have dealt with injuries. Crawford has been back for several weeks and third base is currently occupied by Seattle's recently-promoted top prospect, Colt Emerson.

Offensively, Rivas has slashed .131/.263/.172 with a .435 OPS in 38 games this year and has hit two doubles and a triple with seven RBIs.

Brennen Davis, OF, (Selected to 40-man roster; optioned to Triple-A)

The former top 100 prospect was signed  by the Mariners to a minor league contract Dec. 18.

Included in Davis' contract is several stipulations. He had an assignment deadline May 15. When that deadline passed, Davis' agent was allowed to forward a written request asking for him to be placed on the M's' 40-man roster, or have a similar assignment with another team (per a story written by Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times).

Upon the request being submitted, Seattle would have had 24 hours to fulfill the request or send him to a new team. There was no information upon the roster move being made that the request was submitted.

The 26-year-old outfielder has an opt-out clause on his contract for Aug. 1 where he could ask for his release, which likely would happen if he's not on the 26-man roster.

In 38 games in Triple-A this year, Davis is slashing .281/.394/.548 with a .948 OPS and has hit 12 doubles and eight homers with 27 RBIs.
