As was recently noted by MLBTradeRumors, several Seattle Mariners minor leaguers have now elected minor league free agency. While some could return to the Mariners under the right circumstances, they are now free to sign with any team. Some, including Cade Marlowe, Collin Snider and Casey Lawrence, have previously been valuable contributors to the M's at the big-league level.
The full list:
Michael Fulmer, Casey Lawrence, Collin Snider, Jesse Hahn, Nick Anderson, Josh Fleming, Austin Shenton, Jacob Nottingham, Beau Taylor, Cade Marlowe, Jack Lopez, Michael Mariot, Hagen Danner
Now 30 years old, Snider spent part of 2024 and 2025 with the M's, turning in a much better performance in the former than the latter. He was 3-4 in 2024, but held a spectacular 1.94 ERA in 42 games. He became a big part of the M's late-game bullpen usage, pairing with Andres Munoz in some high-leverage situations. He also helped alleviate the loss of Matt Brash, who missed the entire 2024 campaign.
This year? Snider battled injury and ineffectiveness to the tune of a 2-1 record and a 5.47 ERA. He made just 24 appearances.

Now 28 years old, Marlowe had a decent run with the 2023 Mariners, hitting .239 in 34 games. He had three home runs and 11 RBIs, including a big grand slam in the ninth inning against the Los Angeles Angels. He played only eight big-league games in 2024 and spent much of 2025 rehabbing an injury before playing 52 minor league games. He hit .316 for Triple-A Tacoma in 46 games. He had four home runs and 22 RBIs.
While the M's probably like his skillset and character, it's hard to see a path to him getting big-league time in 2026, as the M's currently have Julio Rodriguez, Randy Arozarena, Victor Robles, Dominic Canzone and Luke Raley as outfield options. Should they move any of those pieces, perhaps Marlowe could see an opportunity, if he re-signs.
Now 38 years old, Lawrence was up-and-down multiple times this past season, finishing with a 1-2 record in six games.
He's provided solid organizational depth for the Mariners and could again if he wants to return. However, at his age, it's unclear what his future holds.
--Hahn was up briefly with the Mariners this past season, going 0-1 in three games.
--Fulmer is the former American League Rookie of the Year with the Detroit Tigers. The M's had gotten him after he was let go by the Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs and Kansas City Royals.
