The latest edition of the MLB Pipeline farm system rankings came out on Sunday.
Despite the graduation of top prospect Colt Emerson earlier this season, the Seattle Mariners were still given a solid farm system ranking in the latest edition of the MLB Pipeline rankings that were released on Sunday.
According to the group, the M's still have the No. 9 farm system in the sport, which is only one spot lower than they were in the preseason (No. 8). The Mariners were ranked at No. 3 during the 2025 midseason, but the graduations of Emerson and Cole Young (last year) likely caused the drop this year.
Despite the overall drop, the Mariners still have six Top 100 prospects, which puts them on par at the top with the Los Angeles Dodgers, who have the best overall system.
Left-handed pitcher Kade Anderson is ranked as the No. 5 prospect while right-handed pitcher Ryan Sloan is No. 8. Together, they make up the best pitching prospect duo there is. Michael Arroyo, currently roping the ball at Triple-A Tacoma, checks in at No. 45 while Double-A infielder Felnin Celesten is No. 50. Lazaro Montes, also at Triple-A, is No. 56, and Double-A outfielder Jonny Farmelo is No. 73.
Anderson and Arroyo are knocking on the door of the big leagues and both could make their debut later this season. Anderson is the next man in line if right-hander Bryan Woo needs to miss any time with the shoulder discomfort he described on Sunday.
Mariners news and notes
--The Mariners are off on Monday before starting a series against the Milwaukee Brewers in Milwaukee. The Brewers have the best record in baseball and just took three-of-four from the Dodgers in Los Angeles.
Seattle is 59-66, but they are coming off a series win against the Houston Astros. The M's are four games back in the American League West and 2.5 games back in the wild card. As noted by Tankathon before Sunday's game, the Mariners have one of the easiest schedules in baseball remaining, though the next 15 games remain incredibly difficult, with 12 of them coming against current playoff teams.

Ibanez is a 6-year veteran of the Texas Rangers, Detroit Tigers, New York Mets and Athletics.
