The Marlins prospect showcased his elite speed and contact skills in Beloit’s latest victory, tallying his 15th multi-hit performance while anchoring the first-place Sky Carp lineup.

Miami Marlins No. 25 prospect Dillon Head collected his 15th multi-hit game of the season with a pair of singles in High-A Beloit’s 8-5 win over the Quad City River Bandits on Tuesday.

The Sky Carp improved to 16-9 in the second half of the season and remain in first place in the Midwest League South. Jacob Jenkins-Cowart, Wilfredo Lara and Wilson Weber each hit a home run for Beloit in the offensive onslaught.

Known more for his speed, Head has 31 stolen bases while batting .265 with a .787 OPS through 59 games for the Sky Carp. In his fourth season in the minor leagues, Head is benefiting from spending the entirety of 2026 with the same team.

The San Diego Padres drafted Head out of high school in the first round of the 2023 MLB Draft because of his speed and contact tools. Drafted 25th overall, he signed below slot for $2.8 million and had a hot start to his pro career with a .294/.413/.471 slash line in rookie ball.
