San Diego Padres closer Mason Miller dominates opposing hitters, recording eleven strikeouts in just 4.1 innings. His historic streak is must-watch baseball.

Right now, it wouldn't be too much to say that Mason Miller is the early MVP for the San Diego Padres

Miller has been lights out every single game this season, and even dating back to last season.

Miller's recent outing on Sunday featured him striking out the side (again) as the Padres defeated the Boston Red Sox 8-6 at Fenway.

All-Star closer Robert Suarez left and signed with the Atlanta Braves in free agency, and now Miller holds the keys to the end of the Padres' bullpen, and rightfully so.

Here is how Miller has pitched so far this season:

March 28 vs. Detroit Tigers: 1 inning, 0 hits, 0 runs, 1 walk, 2 strikeouts

April 1 vs. San Francisco Giants: 1.1 innings, 1 hit, 0 runs, 3 strikeouts

April 4 vs. Red Sox: 1 inning, 0 hits, 0 runs, 3 strikeouts

April 5 vs. Red Sox: 1 inning, 0 hits, 0 runs, 3 strikeouts

So, in total, Miller has thrown 4.1 innings with just one hit and 11 strikeouts. That means a total of 13 outs, and all but two have come via a strikeout.

This one was from Saturday's win over the Red Sox, and he also struck out the side.

Codify Baseball even mentioned that Miller is on a historic stretch: In his last 24 regular-season games, he has 53 strikeouts.

And, for those wondering, he is every strikeout by Miller this season.

The Padres acquired Miller at the trade deadline in 2025 in a deal with the Athletics, but Suarez and Miller shared save opportunities the rest of the season.

Now, Miller is the go-to guy for new manager Craig Stammen, and Miller also pitched in the World Baseball Classic for Team USA.

Miller's stuff is out of this world, and this stretch to begin this season - and even dating back to the 2025 regular season - shows how special a talent Miller is.

New York Yankees closer David Bednar and Miller both have four saves as of Monday to be tied for the MLB lead, and Miller has earned the save in all four of the Padres victories this season.

The Padres had Trevor Hoffman as their closer for a long time, but what Miller is doing is something unseen in the sport of baseball.

The Padres begin a three-game series on the road against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday, and Miller is becoming must-watch every time he gets the baseball.
