The Philadelphia Phillies have to add more talent this offseason.

The Philadelphia Phillies will be heading into one of the bigger off-seasons in recent memory for the franchise.

After another early playoff exit, the Phillies' front office could be looking to make some big changes this winter. Philadelphia lost in the National League Wild-Card Series to its rival, the Atlanta Braves.

The Phillies stumbled down the stretch of the season, falling short of winning a World Series again. So, as the team heads into the offseason, there are real questions about how the group will look next season.

Philadelphia has already answered one of the bigger questions, bringing back manager Don Mattingly for the 2027 season. Mattingly helped this team overcome a slow start to the season, leading them to the playoffs.

Now, the Phillies' front office will turn its attention to the roster, needing to get some new energy into the building. One name that could make a lot of sense this offseason is slugger Randy Arozarena, who is coming off an excellent season with the Seattle Mariners.

MLB analyst Christopher Kline of FanSided linked Arozarena to the Phillies in a new article about free agents. According to Kline, the Phillies are predicted to sign Arozarena to a five-year, $110 million deal this offseason.

If the Phillies were to land Arozarena, it could see the inconsistent offense be taken to a new level. Arozarena plays the game of baseball with all sorts of energy, and he was one of the bigger sparks to the Mariners unit this past season.

Overall, Arozarena hit .281 with 26 home runs, 79 RBIs, and 26 stolen bases, while posting an OPS of .865. If the Phillies could bring him in, they could easily move star Bryce Harper back to first base next season.

Placing a bat like Arozarena in the lineup could help Harper out, giving him a security blanket behind him. This is an area that the Phillies need to address, and Arozarena could be one of the better power hitters that the team could add.

Philadelphia has never been shy about spending over the years, and the front office shouldn't stop this offseason. The core group of Harper and Schwarber isn't getting any younger, and Arozarena could be the missing piece needed to get this team over the hump in the NL.

The Phillies don't have to make massive changes this winter; instead, they jsut need to add in the right pieces to the roster. Philadelphia has the talent to win the World Series, but this coming offseason will tell a lot about the chances for next season.
