Landing spots for Phillies free agent Alec Bohm this offseason.

The Philadelphia Phillies have some tough decisions to make across the roster this offseason, with one of them being about infielder Alec Bohm.

Bohm will be entering free agency, and there have been rumors that he may not return.

Overall, Bohm had an up-and-down year, with him starting slow through the first 35 games of the season. The veteran hit .159 with one home run and 15 RBIs, showing real concern from the Phillies.

But then he turned it around completely, slashing .274/.340/.433 with 14 home runs and 73 RBIs in his final 120 games. Bohm has a lot of talent, but this has been a problem for him during his tenure in the big leagues.

Teams will look at the inconsistency of Bohm when determining his value. But the infielder could be a solid addition for multiple teams this winter.

Here are three of the better landing spots for the veteran infielder entering the offseason:

1. Los Angeles Angels

The Angels continued the long postseason drought, but with new ownership now in place, this team could spend this offseason. Bohm could be looking for a multi-year contract, and the Angels make a lot of sense.

The veteran could bring some needed offensive power to the lineup, while helping them shore up the third base side. Bohm going to the Angels could help the franchise start building, even if he isn't the big splash move for the team.

2. Philadelphia Phillies

The Phillies and Bohm have a weird relationship, and it remains to be seen if he will return to the team next season. But if he does return, the team will need him to be much more consistent throughout the year.

Bohm has expressed a desire to remain with the Phillies, but whether the feeling from the organization is mutual is a big question. But a short-term deal could be on the table, keeping the two sides together for 2027.

3. St. Louis Cardinals

The Cardinals were in the playoff hunt for a while last season, before they completely fell off at the end of the year. This team has to make some sort of addition this offseason, and Bohm could be one of the stronger options.

Bohm could give the Cardinals more reliability over some internal options, while giving them some stability at third base. St. Louis wants to get back to the playoffs, and a move like this could push them closer to that reality.
