A moment of silence for the victims of the Allen mall mass shooting was held before Sunday’s game between the Texas Rangers and Los Angeles Angels at Angel Stadium.
A message was also displayed on the stadium’s video board that read:
The Rangers thanked the Angels for observing the moment of silence with the following statement posted on Twitter:
Rangers manager Bruce Bochy addressed the shooting at the Allen Outlet Malls that left at least eight dead and seven injured on Saturday.
“We want to give our condolences to the victims of the tragedy in Allen and our thoughts are with them and it just breaks our hearts,” Bochy said Saturday night. “We’re all praying for all of them.”
Allen is about 25 miles north of Dallas.
