New York Mets outfielder will now roam Globe Life Field outfield for Rangers,

It's official. The Texas Rangers have acquired New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo in a deal that sends Marcus Semien to the Mets.

On Monday morning, the Rangers posted the news on their X account.

Rangers Roundtable offered some insights into what Nimmo could bring to the Rangers.

One intangible that Nimmo brings is some experience. While Texas has a strong nucleus of young players, Nimmo has put in his time in the big leagues with the Mets.

Before coming to Texas, the only team that Nimmo has played for in his entire career is the Mets.

Now, though, Nimmo comes over to a new team and a new league.

It's a nice pickup for the Rangers ahead of manager Skip Schumaker's first season leading Texas in the dugout.

Don't be surprised if Nimmo gets asked to share his MLB insights with those young players.

Rangers fans are probably going to have to get used to seeing their team out on the field without Semien, who played a vital part in leading Texas to its World Series title.

But the deal's done and now they will have time to check out Nimmo's highlights before he puts on a Rangers uniform for the first time.
