Stellar play in the field during 2025 MLB season earns Rangers postseason hardware.

While the Texas Rangers may not have been able to truly produce at the plate during the 2025 MLB season, that doesn't mean they were not able to field their positions.

Because of this, the Rangers picked up some postseason hardware on Friday night.

Texas won the 2025 Rawlings American League Gold Glove Award as a team, it was reported by the Rangers on their account on X.

The Rangers had quite a rotation of infielders all season long. They included Ezequiel Duran, Josh Smith, Jake Burger, Marcus Semien, Cody Freeman, Josh Jung, and Cory Seager. As for the Rangers outfield, stars out there included Wyatt Langford, Evan Carter, and Adolis García.

New Rangers manager Skip Schumaker probably is quite pleased to see the Rangers earn this honor. It gives him something to focus on that Texas did well in an otherwise so-so season.

Semien won the AL Gold Glove Award for second basemen, showing again and again that he can both field really well and make solid throws to first base. Four other Rangers players - pitcher Jacob deGrom, Seager, García and Langford - were Gold Glove finalists at their positions but didn't win.

The Rangers did not win any AL Silver Slugger Awards this season.

Rangers fans probably want to see their team get some additional bats in the lineup heading into the 2026 MLB season.

Rangers president of baseball operations Chris Young might have a couple of ideas and will probably look into them at the upcoming General Managers' meeting as well as the Winter Meetings, which will take place in December.

For now, though, the Rangers can feel quite proud of their accomplishments in the field.

The team has a strong nucleus in this area and will look to put together another season of stellar play at their respective positions.
