While most prospects set out for their offseason over a month ago, dozens have continued their seasons in Arizona, participating in the Arizona Fall League, including eight Boston Red Sox prospects who joined the Mesa Solar Sox.
As the AFL enters the final weeks of the regular season, Minor League Baseball announced the rosters for the Fall-Star Game on Wednesday morning. Among the players selected for the American League team is Red Sox prospect infielder Antonio Anderson, one of the league's standouts.
About Anderson
A 2023 third-round pick, Anderson received a well-over-slot signing bonus of $1.5 million to forgo his commitment to Georgia Tech. The switch-hitting third baseman struggled in his first taste of High-A in 2025, hitting just .212/.279/.290/.569 in 67 games, causing the team to have him repeat the level in 2026.
In 85 games with Greenville in 2026, the 21-year-old posted much better results, hitting .273/.373/.453/.826 with nine home runs, 17 doubles and 46 RBI.
To keep his strong season rolling and continue rebuilding his prospect stock, Anderson was sent to the AFL, where he has thrived. In 16 games for the Solar Sox, the 21-year-old is hitting .361/.500/.623/1.123 with three home runs and five doubles, driving in 20 runs, leading Mesa in all seven categories.
Anderson also ranks among the top 10 Arizona Fall League hitters in batting average (5th), on-base percentage (4th), slugging percentage (8th), OPS (3rd), home runs (T-8th), and RBI (T-3rd).
Along with participating in the All-Star Game, Anderson will be participating in the AFL Home Run Derby.
The Home Run Derby will take place on Saturday night at 8:30 p.m. ET and will air on MLB Network, while the Fall-Star Game is set for Sunday at 8:00 p.m. ET and will also air on the network.

According to WEEI’s Rob Bradford, Hudson will join Cora’s former boss with the Houston Astros, Detroit Tigers manager AJ Hinch, as the first base coach. Hudson becomes the third member of Cora’s former staff to find a new home, joining Pete Fatse, who was named hitting coach of the Philadelphia Phillies, and Dillon Lawson, who was named Miami Marlins hitting coach.
