Mason White was joined by a former teammate on the South Atlantic League All-Star team.
As the minor league season draws to a close across all levels, Minor League Baseball has begun handing out end-of-season awards and All-Star selections, beginning with the Single-A All-Stars on Tuesday, when Boston Red Sox catcher prospect Kleyver Salazar was named a Carolina League All-Star. Minor League Awards continued Wednesday as the league announced the High-A award winners and All-Star teams, which included Red Sox infield prospect Mason White and former Boston outfield prospect Enddy Azocar.
About White
A 2025 fourth-round pick out of the University of Arizona, White spent the first 68 games of the 2026 season with High-A Greenville, hitting .270/.362/.525/.887 with 14 home runs, 14 doubles, and 42 RBI. During his time in Greenville, the 22-year-old infielder was among the better power hitters at the level, posting an isolated power of .216, ranking in the 91st percentile of all hitters. White does well to limit swing-and-miss, posting a whiff rate of 23.9 percent, though he does have a penchant for chasing pitches out of the zone, posting a 29.4 percent chase rate.
He does, however, have two traits that the Red Sox covet in their prospects: strong zone contact skills and a high air-pull percentage. White ranked in the 77th percentile with an 86.3 zone contact rate, while his air-pull percentage fell in the 90th percentile at 27.3 percent.
After an impressive performance in Greenville, White was promoted to Double-A Portland on July 18. In 33 games with the Sea Dogs, White hit .208/.333/.377/.710 with four home runs, four doubles, and 13 RBI, while his strikeout rate rose nearly eight percent, from 22.3 percent to 30.2 percent.
White will be among eight Red Sox prospects joining the Mesa Solar Sox when the Arizona Fall League season begins on Oct. 3.
About Azocar
Amid a breakout season with Single-A Salem and Greenville, Azocar was one of the biggest risers in the Red Sox farm system when he was dealt to the Baltimore Orioles in the trade-deadline blockbuster that sent All-Star catcher Adley Rutschman to Boston.
The 19-year-old outfielder began the season in Salem, hitting .295/.344/.530/.874 in 39 games before being promoted to Greenville on May 26. Upon joining Greenville, Azocar picked up right where he left off in Salem, hitting .279/.338/.547/.885 in 46 games prior to being traded.
Azocar's incredible season continued in the Baltimore system, where he hit .327/.372/.529/.901 in his final 25 games of the season with the High-A Frederick Keys. Despite now being a member of Frederick, Azocar was named to the All-Star team as a member of the Drive because that is where he spent the majority of the season.
Meanwhile, back in Boston, the Red Sox are 82-70 and in third place in the American League East.
