Rockies Snap Seven-Game Losing Streak

The Colorado Rockies were able to post a 3-1 win over the Washington Nationals on Tuesday night at Nationals Park.

Mason Adams was called up from Triple-A Albuquerque and made his first major-league start on Tuesday night. Adams went four innings, allowing three hits, one earned run, walked three, struck out five, and gave up a home run.

Hunter Goodman, just back from the Injury List, hit a solo home run -- his 35th home run this season -- in the top of the fourth inning. Connor Norby's two-out RBI double, also in the fourth inning, gave the Rockies a 2-0 lead.

Daylen Lyle, who has been one of the best hitters this season for the Nationals, cranked a solo home run -- his second in two straight games -- and got the team within 2-1. 

But the Rockies picked up their third run in the game as Jordan Beck scored on a wild pitch delivered when Cole Carrigg struck out.

Colorado is now 51-81 on the season, doing its best to avoid a 100-loss season.
