On Monday, the Colorado Rockies announced that pitcher Pierson Ohl was claimed off waivers by the New York Mets.
Ohl's season was halted last season as he had to deal with Tommy John surgery. Ohl was a 14th-round draft pick by the Minnesota Twins in the 2021 MLB Draft.
He's appeared in 14 games in his career, holding an 0-3 overall record. Ohl, in 14 innings of work, has three career saves and 27 strikeouts.
Ohl will now get a chance to potentially join the Mets' pitching staff next season.
