Infielder-outfielder Charlie Condon continues to put up impressive numbers at Pacific Coast League's Albuquerque Isotopes for the Colorado Rockies' franchise.
The numbers from infielder-outfielder Charlie Condon at the Triple-A level just keep getting stronger.
Condon, one of the brightest Colorado Rockies' prospects, has some nice highlights despite the Isotopes going 2-7 in their last nine games up to July 20, 2026. He has hit safely in his last four games.
Condon is batting .286 (12-for-42) with six runs, two home runs, and five RBIs this month.
In looking at where Condon stands among Pacific Coast League leaders this season, he ranks second in OPS (.976), third in home runs (20), triples (six) and total bases (177), fourth in SLG (.569) and extra-base hits (42), fifth in OBP (.407), and tied for fifth in RBIs (61).
Condon also was named the PCL's Player of the Week for June 23-28. It's the second time this season that Condon has earned the award.
When will Rockies call up Condon?
As much as Condon has been performing well for the Isotopes, it begs the question: When will the Rockies make a call-up for Condon from Albuquerque? It might be as early as in the next few weeks, or the ballclub might wait until September to do so.
There's a third option here. Maybe the Rockies' management decides to just keep Condon in the minor leagues all season long. If that's the call, then it's not giving Condon a chance to show what he can do in the big leagues.
I think he will get a phone call from Denver at some point. There's still time, of course.
Outfielder Zac Veen, also at the Isotopes, has hit safely in both of his appearances vs. Sacramento, hitting his PCL-leading 27th double of the season on July 18.
Among qualified PCL hitters in the 2026 season, Veen ranks first in doubles, SLG (.578) and extra-base hits (48), tied for first in total bases (186), third in hits (101), fourth in OPS (.967) and tied for fifth in RBI (61).
Tough times for Isotopes
In looking at how the Isotopes have played in their last few games, as we mentioned, they are 2-7 in their last nine games. Albuquerque ended up dropping their seventh series of this season and second straight one. The Isotopes went 1-5 in their recent series against the Sugar Land Space Cowboys.
Additionally, Albuquerque has not picked up a series victory in their last four series played.
Where do the top 30 Rockies' prospects land on a list provided by MLB.com? Behind shortstop Ethan Holliday at Fresno, Condon comes in second. Outfielder Cole Carrigg, who has been tearing it up at the MLB level with the Rockies, comes in at No. 6.
Left-handed pitcher Sean Sullivan is at the No. 11 position. Three more Rockies are ranked from Nos. 13-16. These players are Veen, left-handed pitcher Welinton Herrera, outfielder Sterlin Thompson, and Rockies pitcher Gabriel Hughes, who is at the MLB level.
So, the Rockies do have a bevy of players getting ready for some time down the road with the MLB club.
