Besides the Colorado Rockies' Charlie Condon being a part of the Futures contest, Ethan Holliday will be featured on 'Road to the Show' documentary.
A couple of young, up-and-coming stars in the Colorado Rockies' minor-league system are getting attention. Infielder Charlie Condon, who was the No. 3 overall pick for the Rockies in the 2023 MLB Draft, will play in the MLB All-Star Futures Game at noon ET on Sunday, July 12.
NBC will be showing the Futures game, too.
Meanwhile, Ethan Holliday, who plays for the Rockies' Fresno Grizzlies' Single-A franchise, is going to be featured on an upcoming TV series titled "Road to the Show" put together by MLB and NBC Sports.
Besides Condon, who will play for the National League Futures team, other top names on the team include Milwaukee Brewers' No. 1 overall prospect Jesús Made and shortstop Eli Willits of the Washington Nationals. Willits was the No. 1 overall selection in the 2025 MLB Draft and, according to MLB Pipeline rankings, is the third-best prospect in all of the major leagues.
The American League Futures team will feature shortstop Leo De Vries of the Athletics, who currently ranks No. 2 overall on the MLB Pipeline top prospect list. Along with De Vries, Seattle Mariners pitcher Kade Anderson will be there, too. Anderson was the third overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft and is currently listed as the No. 5 prospect in MLB by MLB Pipeline.
Ethan Holliday in the Spotlight
As for Holliday, he's getting some attention thanks to the "Road to the Show" five-episode documentary that offers unprecedented access to six of MLB's young stars.
Rockies fans can catch the opening episode on Wednesday, July 1, on Peacock. New episodes are scheduled throughout July and August, too. "Road to the Show" is produced by MLB Network and Dan Sarmiento, baseball content creator and YouTuber, will provide the narration.
Besides Holliday, other players featured here include Made, Chicago White Sox's Braden Montgomery, Philadelphia Phillies' Gage Wood, and college stars Roch Cholowsky of UCLA and Justin Lebron of the University of Alabama. Montgomery recently got a call-up from the White Sox and smashed a walk-off home run in his MLB debut.
New episodes of this series will premiere on July 1, July 10, July 19, July 26, and August 2.
This is a golden opportunity for Condon and Holliday to show off what they have learned in their climb to the big leagues. Also, the franchise gets some national notoriety, too. since they really have not been getting much love from a national media perspective.
Rockies fans now have a reason to see a couple of their farm system players get much-deserved attention for their work in the minor leagues.
