Colorado has had high hopes to avoid recording another 100-loss season. August's overall record has not helped the team at all. Sitting at about a .333 winning percentage this month doesn't actually strike fear in many teams.
The Orioles are 68-69 this season yet find themselves 14.5 games behind the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League East Division. Baltimore is in fourth place, a half-game ahead of the last-place Toronto Blue Jays.

RHP Tanner Gordon (1-4, 5.38) vs. RHP Kyle Bradish (7-12, 4.03)
Tanner Gordon might not strike much fear in Baltimore hitters. When he's on his game, though, opponents are not seeing his pitching arsenal very well. That 5.38 ERA brings Gordon's opposing hitters drool a bit before getting into the batter's box. Let's see if the Rockies can attack Kyle Bradish before he settles into a rhythm at all.
Tuesday, Sept. 1
RHP Gabriel Hughes (0-6, 6.61) vs. LHP Trevor Rogers (9-9, 4.38)
It's been a tough road to play for Gabriel Hughes, who is 0-6 with an ERA high over six, too. Again, Orioles hitters are going up to the plate and looking for what Hughes throws up there.
Trevor Rogers has been better than Hughes, bringing his 4.38 ERA into Coors Field. Fans have to watch and see if he's affected by the altitude at Coors Field at all.
Wednesday, Sept. 2
RHP Tomoyuki Sugano (12-8, 5.23) vs. RHP Brandon Young (9-3, 3.38)
Tomoyuki Sugano wasn't sharp in his previous start on the road. He needs to get back to what's worked for him all season long, get centered on the mound, and make effective pitches. Brandon Young has been a lights-out option for the Orioles. That 9-3 record and mid-3 ERA are nothing to sneeze at one bit.
