For what it's worth, Justin Ishbia's firm in Chicago is buying the rail yard across the river from Project 78.
Project 78 still remains the most ideal spot for a new White Sox stadium. They should have room to fit it, even with the Chicago Fire moving to play their home games there.
I certainly get the vibe from Ishbia that he's coming in and trying to make Chicago a permanent home for the White Sox, and what new owner doesn't want a new stadium to go with his team?
Could just be a coincidence, but this is definitely something to monitor as the years go on and the White Sox look for their new home.
