Busy day for the White Sox front office. A lot happened over the past few hours, so here's a comprehensive recap of everything that went down.

TRADE: The White Sox acquired left-handed pitcher Chris Murphy from the Boston Red Sox in exchange for minor-league catcher Ronny Hernández. 

TRADE: The White Sox acquired OF Everson Pereira and UTIL Tanner Murray form the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for RHP Yoendrys Gómez and RHP Steven Wilson. 

PROTECTED: The White Sox selected the contracts of right-handed pitchers Duncan Davitt and Tanner McDougal, protecting them from the Rule 5 Draft.

UNPROTECTED: The White Sox left RHP Peyton Pallette, LHP Shane Murphy, and RHP Mason Adams off the 40-man roster, exposing them to the Rule 5 Draft. (among other, less notable players) 

RETIRED: LHP Fraser Ellard retired unexpectedly.
