An interesting note from the TV broadcast during Sunday's game, Connor McKnight explained what Will Venable was thinking with his managerial decisions on Saturday.
The most controversial decision Venable made was to pitch to Max Muncy in the bottom of the 11th inning when there was an opportunity to intentionally walk two batters and make the relief pitcher bat.
McKnight said that the White Sox were worried about Lucas Sims' control, and they didn't want to load the bases in case a walk ended the game.
Still not sure I agree with that decision, especially because they intentionally walked the bases loaded with Jordan Hicks the inning before. And quite frankly, because if the fear is that Lucas Sims can't get a pitcher out without walking him, he probably shouldn't be on the MLB roster.
