Wild Card Payrolls

For all the reasons to criticize Chris Getz, many of them fair, this graphic right here represents why he should still be the Executive of the Year in baseball.

Of all the teams in the Wild Card Series, the White Sox have a payroll that is LESS THAN HALF of every other team. Just $65 million, while the next-lowest team is at $145 million. And here they are, all in the same place.

Doing more with less is the name of the game when you're the White Sox GM, and Getz has embodied that this season.
