Brad Keselowski and RFK Racing confirmed Tuesday they're parting ways at the end of the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season.

CONCORD, N.C. — NASCAR Cup Series owner-driver Brad Keselowski and his RFK Racing team confirmed Tuesday they're parting ways at the end of the 2026 season.

Keselowski will step down as head of competition and will not return to the No. 6 Ford in 2027. This comes after the 2012 NASCAR Cup Series champion has spent what is now five seasons with the organization as an owner-driver, dating back to 2022.

Keselowski joined Roush Fenway Racing as a co-owner in 2021, making the organization Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing ahead of the 2022 season. Over the past five years, RFK Racing described him as shaping "the team’s competitive direction by modernizing its efforts with an ambitious commitment to process and technology."

Keselowski will finish out the 2026 season in the No. 6 Ford. His plans beyond 2026 are unknown but he is not planning to retire, even after 17 seasons in NASCAR's top series.

RFK Racing and Keselowski intend to "collaboratively and mutually" work on the next steps regarding his stake in the team. RFK Racing is committed to being a three-car organization in 2027 and "will continue its active pursuit" of a third charter for that third car.

There is no word on who will take over for Keselowski in the No. 6 car and as head of competition. The search will begin immediately, according to RFK Racing.

RFK Racing will continue under the ownership of Jack Roush's Roush Enterprises and Fenway Sports Group.
