Chandler Smith was disqualified from Friday's NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Rockingham Speedway after his truck failed post-race inspection.

ROCKINGHAM, N.C. -- Chandler Smith was disqualified from Friday's NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Rockingham Speedway after his truck failed post-race inspection.

Smith's truck failed to meet post-race rear body inspection height requirements. As a result, he will drop from a fourth-place finish to 36th, costing him 32 points and the points lead, as a result. Everyone behind him will gain a point.

Smith had a poor start but benefitted from a caution in the final stage that put him as one of nine trucks on the lead lap. After the race, he had held the points lead by 15 points over Corey Heim and Kaden Honeycutt.

After Smith's disqualification, Heim and Honeycutt are now tied for the lead.

The TRICON teammates battled each other for the win in the closing laps at the 0.94-mile track as they worked their way around teammates Gio Ruggiero and Tanner Gray, who were off the lead lap. Honeycutt led the white flag lap before Heim put together two strong sets of corners that got him his second consecutive win of the 2026 season.

Heim is the only driver to win multiple races, which is something Front Row Motorsports has also done, with Smith winning at Daytona and Layne Riggs winning at St. Pete.

FRM still managed a top-five finish with Riggs, who finished third to Heim and Honeycutt. He believed he was going to steal a win when the TRICON teammates started racing hard.

Heim and Honeycutt are tied for the points lead at 190 points. Riggs is 11 points back, Smith is 17 back and Majeski is 22 back, by Roundtable's count.
