MOORESVILLE, N.C. -- Justin Allgaier extended his long-standing relationship with JR Motorsports in the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series for 2027 and beyond.
The Dale Earnhardt Jr.-owned JRM organization and Allgaier, the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series points leader, agreed to a multi-year deal. Allgaier will continue to drive the organization's No. 7 Brandt Chevrolet that has he has driven since 2016.
Allgaier has racked up 31 wins, 158 top-five finishes and 241 top-10 finishes in 362 starts with the organization, dating back to the 2016 season opener at Daytona International Speedway. That spans 11 seasons with top-five finishes in 10 of those seasons, including the duo's 2024 championship-winning season.
In the elimination format, the No. 7 team missed the Championship 4 just twice. Combined with their efforts this season, they have entered the finale with a chance at the championship in nine of their 11 seasons together.
Allgaier has carved out an historic legacy for himself in the series. He now ranks sixth on the all-time NOAPS wins list, behind Kyle Busch (102 wins), Mark Martin (49), Kevin Harvick (47), Brad Keselowski (39) and Carl Edwards (38). Only two other drivers have 30 or more wins: Jack Ingram (31) and Joey Logano (30). With 16 wins, Austin Hill is the next closest on the wins list among active full-time NOAPS drivers.
Allgaier's legacy seemed to be cemented at one point in the season before many even knew it was. After winning at Nashville Superspeedway in May, Allgaier said he considered retiring and even bought a house in his home state of Illinois right around when the season started. However, the season has seen him post career-high stats, like six wins and 19 top-fives.
Allgaier was a perennial runner-up in the championship until he won in 2024. After losing out in 2025, he earned the No. 1 seed by a wide margin this season and enters the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway with a 22-point lead over second in the standings.
Allgaier is the defending winner at Homestead-Miami, leading 21 of 201 laps in March of 2025 when the series last visited the 1.5-mile track. While that bodes well for his hopes, that win and 21 laps led that day was his only top-five finish at the track and accounted for all but 15 of the laps he led in 16 prior starts there.
In those 16 starts, he has four other top-five finishes: Eighth in 2024, 10th in 2022, seventh in 2018 and sixth in 2016 with six laps led. He also led eight laps in the 2023 race where he started third and finished 15th.
