CONCORD, N.C. — Charlotte Motor Speedway's Celebration of Life for Kyle Busch will air on TV after the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Ecosave 200 race Friday night.

The track is set to honor Busch with a celebration of the stories, memories and iconic moments that produced the lasting impact he made on NASCAR as "Rowdy".

Busch's widow, Samantha, will be a part of the program. NASCAR Hall of Famer and team owner Joe Gibbs will join with stories expected from him on his 15 seasons of working with Busch and the years of comraderie they shared after that.

NASCAR on FOX play-by-play announcer Mike Joy will also speak. He called races from every one of Busch's 23 seasons as a full-time NASCAR driver.

Joy lended his voice to some of the most iconic moments of Busch's career, such as when his 200th NASCAR national series win in March of 2019 at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. Joy also called Busch home when he earned what became his final NASCAR Cup Series win – in June of 2023 at World Wide Technology Raceway Gateway.

Also speaking are Cup Series drivers Christopher Bell, Noah Gragson and Daniel Suárez. They each came up through the ranks with Busch fielding entries for them in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Each driver received mentoring from them and cited Busch as integral to them making it to the Cup Series.

Defending champion Kyle Larson, who was lovingly dubbed "Tiny Kyle" by Busch, will speak. Austin Dillon, who was responsible for signing Busch to RCR, will also speak.

Speakers will share personal reflections on Busch's life and legacy. Then, the evening will conclude with a special performance by country music star Cole Swindell.

Busch is the winningest driver at Charlotte across all three series. Although he won just once at the track in the NASCAR Cup Series (2018 Coca-Cola 600), that win allowed him to officially score a points race win on every active track in the series at that time – a first in NASCAR history.

Busch scored nine NOAPS wins in 27 starts and eight NCTS wins in 16 starts (including a run of four in a row from 2010-11, 2013-14).

Charlotte was also the first track to host a NASCAR race weekend after Busch passed away suddenly in May. The Busch family appeared at the track but didn't speak.

Recently, brother Kurt Busch spoke at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, while Samantha Busch spoke at Bristol Motor Speedway.
